Olgiata Castle: Timeless Elegance Near Rome Built between 1560 and 1575, it still retains its unique charm, a symbol of history, nobility and refinement. Over the centuries, the castle served as a privileged residence for popes, cardinals, noble families and monarchs, including the legendary Queen Christina of Sweden in the seventeenth century. In 1940, it was within its walls that the armistice treaty between Italy and France was signed.
