The village is home to approximately 200 residents who are mainly engaged in agriculture and animal management. The main products produced here are olives, wine and several companies that produce cheese. In and around the village there are all kinds of churches built in the Middle Ages. In the village there are also several tavernas where you can taste Cretan specialties. Tzitzifes is 32 km from Chania. The village Vrises is located about 5.5 km away and the beautiful sandy beaches of Georgioupolis are about 20 minutes away.
