In Tours, on the right bank of the Loire, hidden in a park of more than 2 hectares, an old closery from the 18th and 19th centuries and its outbuildings. From a one-way street that descends toward the Loire, the gate opens onto a winding driveway amid tall trees of the property, leading to a parking area in front of a garage. On the side, a few stone steps lead to a wide gravel terrace, facing south, surrounding the main building. Down below, a grassy area is bordered by trees that extend as far as the eye can see. Only the towers of the cathedral break through the curtain of greenery. The dwelling, whose oldest part dates from the 18th century, was expanded in the 19th century and rises two levels plus an attic. The wide ground-floor bays, framed by tuffeau stone, illuminate two reception rooms with paneling and fireplaces, and a bedroom with a bathroom. At the back, an old orangery has been attached, pierced by three tall rounded bays. A kitchen opens to the east side and the rear of the park. On the first floor, several bedrooms are accessible from a main staircase or a service staircase at the back. In an orangery, a passage leads to a lower level with a vaulted cellar and to a garage outbuilding. The first floor has been made into a large room, lit by a large bay window with a view of the cathedral. An annex, hidden in the vegetation and entirely open to nature by bay windows, is divided into a reception area and a bedroom with a shower room and toilets. The park of over 2 hectares is lined with trees of varied species, including a centenary cedar.
