In a historic commune in the Oise, an 18th-century residence renovated, quietly set behind its enclosed garden. In the historic center, a porch opens onto the property and leads to the garden, away from the street and screened from view. The façade of the dwelling is stone, sober and regular, rhythmically pierced by aligned bays and louvered shutters. The house, built in the 18th century and later remodeled in the 19th century, has a surface area of 286 m² spread over three levels. The garden-side façade combines ashlar stone and light-colored plaster. The openings, wider and complemented by contemporary glass doors, enhance the interiors access to the outside and let in ample light. The renovation was carried out with care, respecting the old construction, and incorporating high-quality materials. The house comprises nine rooms, including five bedrooms. A vaulted cellar is established on two levels. A closed garage for two vehicles, accessible from the street through the porch, provides access to the rear of the property. The garden, fully enclosed, covers about 475 m². It consists of a lawn punctuated by various plantings and extends to a paved terrace that links to the reception areas. At the rear of the plot, remains of the Gallo-Roman ramparts from the 3rd century are still visible.
