This house has a history... During the revolution of 1789, on 25 Fructidor of the year II, the commandery of Sainte Eulalie du Larzac, was divided into 32 lots which were put up for sale at a crazy auction. To each built lot is attached, if possible, a part of the park. This house is one of these lots. The terrace and gardens on the south side are a plot of the park. The house is accessed either by the beautiful Place de la Fontaine via a long corridor under the current commandery, then by a seventeenth-century portal which opens onto an open sky and a terrace on the north side. Either by a gate, a garden and a terrace on the south side. Inside, there are walls and arches with remarkable equipment built by the hand of a master, fourteenth-century buttresses, dating from the Knights Templar which rise from the base to the top of the fortified construction and which, until the fifteenth century, overlooked the park and the orangery. Also inside, there is a corbelling, trefoil twin windows, which could be reused during a restoration or a historical reconstruction. All in a perfect state of preservation. To the south, the part built in the fifteenth century by the Hospitallers with large windows, one of which has mullioned and two from the fifteenth, closed in the nineteenth century, was supported by the construction of the hospital ramparts of the fifteenth century. In this part is a large room called the Pink Room of the Commander, with a large stucco fireplace bearing the arms of the last Commander of Saint Eulalia, Jean Antoine Charles Elzéar de Riqueti Mirabeau, buried in Malta. Part of the French ceiling has preserved the carved beams in red wood from Larzac. Two Templar buttresses with a remarkable stone structure are partly visible on the first and second floors. This historic house is waiting for you !!!
