In Isère, at the gates of the Blue Valley and the Chartreuse Natural Park, a 18th-century Dauphiné house and its plot of more than 5,000 m². Accessible via a departmental road, the property unfolds at the center of a grassy and wooded plot, surrounded by mature vegetation that preserves it from any overlooking. Seen from above, the ensemble reveals a characteristic L-shaped plan, organizing two distinct volumes around an interior courtyard opening to the garden. The main body, oriented to the south, rises three levels over a ground floor and topped with a four-sided roof of old flat tiles, pierced by dormers. A conical-roofed corner tower, a signature architectural feature of the Dauphiné fortified house, marks the northeast corner of the building. The facades, limewashed in light ochre tones, are rhythmically punctuated by many small-paned windows equipped with blue-grey painted wood shutters, a characteristic color of Isère heritage. A French door topped with a wrought-iron balcony animates the garden-facing facade. In a right angle turn, a second one-story building extends the ensemble to the west. Covered with old tiles, it completes the composition into a cohesive whole in materials and architectural style. The grounds are planted with tall-stemmed trees that frame the property.
