In Yonne, in a village located between Sens and Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, an old outbuilding from the 17th century and its garden. Just a few meters from the parish square, the imposing 17th-century building, partly covered with abundant vegetation on part of its façades, is glimpsed from the street, protected from the main road by an old wall. The ancient openings are framed with sandstone cut stones, while the newer windows are surrounded by bricks. The roof is covered with small Burgundy tiles and the long rafter cuts rest on stone corners. The dwelling was probably once connected to the mill built 300 m downstream. Beyond the gate, the courtyard dedicated to vehicle parking is revealed: gravelled, surrounded by plantings along the wall and in front of the house, it extends into a lawn that links to the garden. On the other side, there is a large gravel terrace, then a grassy area with light slope and planted trees.
