Between Bordeaux and Toulouse, 10 minutes from a characterful Gers town, a medieval tower classified as a historic monument, restored, and its dwelling. A small road winding through fields leads to a hamlet of barely a few souls. The medieval tower of the property, which stands out from the landscape, is located at the entrance of the group of houses, set apart, with no overlooking neighbors or adjacent properties. The plot on which the two buildings face each other overlooks cultivated lands whose colors change with the seasons. Protected by a stone wall, recalling the old fortified enclosure, and a high porch topped with a forged iron gate, the dwelling is sheltered from prying eyes. Along the enclosure, a grassy, shaded clearing allows parking for vehicles. The tower, built on an almost square plan, overlooks the tree-planted park, closed off by a small gate installed on the left of the main entrance. Perpendicular to the enclosing wall, the dwelling, in stone, is built on a rectangular plan. It rises two levels, under an attic that fits under a sloping ceiling, covered by a canal tile roof, outlined by three rows of dentils. A large porch is attached to the south. Accessible from the garden via a porch that opens onto a few steps down to the space, an imposing wooden gate communicates with a passage arranged at the back of the house. The ornamental garden, which extends in front of the dwelling and connects to the tower, is planted with various species; a covered well and low walls ensure separation from the lower part of the land.
