In the Forez Valley, near the Loire, a 17th-century gentleman's house with equestrian and agricultural dependencies, on a 2-hectare park. The estate, built in the early 17th century, includes a three-level residence of about 540 m², located at the center of an ornamental arboretum park that features a remarkable subject, an oak dating from around 1640. In the back stands the orangery, dedicated to preserving hardy species of smaller size. The entire property is bounded by a canal lane of the Forez Canal, which carries water through the property and separates the private area from the surrounding agricultural meadows.Continuing, after a first arch, a closed courtyard is defined by the domains operating buildings (workshop, gatekeepers house, stable masters coachhouse, barns and granaries, carriage stables). These have not been used for many years but provide spacious garages and storage spaces.A second arch leads in line to the agricultural operation proper, and its livestock and equipment storage buildings: barns, granaries, workshop, horse boxes, stable, various storage rooms. Belonging to the same occupying family since 1946, the estate with an agricultural past was later oriented toward horse breeding for competition, as is traditional in a region where many racing stables are established.
