In the Orne, near Argentan, a Gothic style dwelling with contemporary comfort. Opposite the Notre-Dame church, the property borders a quiet and winding street in the town centre. Accessible directly from the street, the house is discreetly set in the old fabric of the village. Three volumes stand out: in the centre, the main building, vast and regular, is two storeys high topped with converted attics, with an orderly street façade typical of the 18th century, pierced by windows with light blue joinery and shutters. At the back, an out-of-the-works tower with sharp edges houses one of the two spiral staircases, vestiges of the original Gothic building. From this period, there are also braces, mullions and transoms that adorn certain windows, especially on the garden side. To the north, a lower wing develops two levels. To the south, slanted along the street, a wing on the ground floor ends in a pavilion. The whole, made of white limestone masonry in small pieces, is topped with flat tile roofs. Recently renovated, the house has contemporary comfort, with many authentic features: spiral staircases, parquet floors, beamed ceilings, fireplaces and trumeaux, small-paned joinery and old doors. In the south wing, there are two bedrooms, a games room, a kitchen, a shower room and two toilets. The north wing has a garage and technical areas on the ground floor. The first floor, accessible from the third bedroom of the main house, includes a bathroom, a bedroom and an attic. A garden extends the residence, in a vast and long plot of wooded land which extends to the west between two meanders of the Udon and the Orne. A first shelter, close to the house and of the same quality, is added to the house around a terrace. A second small brick shed is used as a garden shed. A gate gives access to the south of the plot. An old greenhouse is located to the north.
