At the foot of the Vercors cliffs, near Châtillon-en-Diois, a stone mas, former artist's home, with a swimming pool. Former artist's residence and studio, the mas features an interior and exterior layout developed in several sequences around terraces, stairs, and gardens laid out in restanques. Built of stone and with three levels with multiple access points, it also comprises several outbuildings, a pool, and various outdoor spaces punctuated by diverse plantings. From the top of the village, a narrow alley lined with old walls leads to a wrought-iron blue-painted gate topped with an old bell. It opens onto a first terrace surrounded by roses and facing the surrounding reliefs. Circulation between the different levels is via several exterior stone staircases, one of which passes through a masonry arch. Barrel vaults, old tiles, exposed beams, and wooden carpentry constitute the essential architectural vocabulary of the mas, preserved in its original state and organization.
