In Beaujolais, at the entrance to the park of a château, a former outbuilding rehabilitated into contemporary housing and its 1,780 m² plot. The residence, built in an L-shaped plan, sits at the entrance of a triangular plot that extends to the neighboring stream. It has preserved the codes of 19th-century outbuildings, with large roof overhangs that protect the facades in rammed earth plastered with light limewash. The gabled roofs, covered with terracotta canal tiles, emphasize the pediment crowning the tall central bay. Probably stemming from a double useagricultural activity and housing for the estate's keeperthe house, now renovated, was once expected to include a protection area for horses, as well as another for the coachmen. The two spaces were opened up and unified by an architect in the 2000s to create a contemporary farmhouse of 247 m². In the grassy, tree-shaded plot, beyond the well, there is a small building used for storing equipment and garden furniture.
