40 minutes north of Limoges, in the Blond mountains, a barn converted into a residence with a swimming pool and a Templar house. Aerial view: the property is in a hamlet of granite houses. It comprises two buildings. On one side, set back from the road, a barn was converted into a dwelling in the 2000s and enlarged to the south. On an adjacent plot, with a slight hillside, a traditional Templar house was built between the 15th and 17th centuries. The main body is a large light granite building, with orderly bays and wooden shutters. Two levels high, seven bedrooms have been arranged there, including two on the ground floor. An integrated garage, a wine cellar and a boiler room space provide comfort and modernity. A large curved bay window, the centerpiece of the façade, hints at ample, light-filled volumes. Stone surrounds and simple lintels mingle with traditional joinery. The tiled roof, slightly patinated, harmonizes with the adjacent house. Small walls, iron railings, or hedges enclose all the parcels.
