In Corrèze, 30 minutes from Brive-la-Gaillarde, a 17thcentury manor recently restored, with its dependencies and landscaped spaces. From the parish church square in the village and bounded by a processional cross, the southern entrance to the property, consisting of outbuildings with steep slate roofs from Allassac, is closed by a tall wooden gate, pierced by a pedestrian door and pierced with clover motifs. It is also surrounded by a brickwork vault with a sculpted stone medallion, giving the whole the look of a fortress wall, harmoniously integrated into the architectural environment governed by the 16thcentury church, with its characteristic sawtooth spire. Fully enclosed by walls, the inner courtyard organizes domestic life of the small estate and allows passage protected from any nuisance to the manor, whose façade laid out horizontally closes the block of domestic buildings and provides access to the gardens on a double terrace. A communal road runs along the western part of the property and provides pedestrian access to the court. A vehicular entrance is also located at the bottom of the garden. The manor house, elongated and two stories high with numerous small-wooded bays, sits on a rectangular built form with a double-pitched roof, punctuated by five dormer windows and topped by three chimney stacks. Stone coats of arms, still visible, attest to the historical attachment of the manor to the lordship of Chabrignac, whose county castle, famous for having once hosted the last Empress of Annam, borders the property boundaries.
