Attic with a terrace and views to the sea in Conjunto Aiguamarina - Mas Mel This project comes from the owner's wish to provide her home with an open and multipurpose space where everybody could fit. The creation of an elevated platform, which holds a big storage space, allows for a defined and convertible space: it is both a large sofa for summer afternoon readings and siestas, and film and pop-corn winter evenings, as well as a platform for meetings and sharing moments. Its 60 centimetres height from the floor of the home puts us on a privileged position, over the visual barrier of the street that separates us from the beach. The en-suite bedroom, open to the backyard, provides a privacy and comfort space when the house is full of guests. The whirlpool bath in the bedroom dissociates from the bathroom and is elevated, and becomes a relax element from where you can see the ocean. Within the abstract and functional conception of the project, the white on walls and ceilings represents canvases that invite to celebrate the present, the natural environment and the company, without distractions.
